Alas, my reading has been limited to biology and chemistry textbooks as of late, but Ryan's been reading a book I've been meaning to for awhile and loving it–––Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach. He says it's funny, interesting, and well written . . . always a good combo. Enjoy your vacation!

First I want to welcome you to revgalblogpals. I can already see you have much to offer. Look forward to reading your posts.

2nd. Have a great vacation. I recommend mimosas, margaritas, or just plain wine while taking in a good novel, good movie, a mindless magazine, or just enjoying the scenery. I have taken theo./rel/church growth books on vacation. I end up not reading them. Usually I take and read a little of a good novel or a magazine. But really there is no reading, I have three young kids, who demand my attention even on vacation.

3rd You sure have been through a lot as a Mom.

I read Leaving Church a few months ago by Barbara Brown Taylor...every preacher should read it to learn more about transitions, wholistic living, and burnout.

I also recommend the Kite Runner for a good fiction read. It's beautifully written and contains a great examination of forgiveness.

Finally, another quick fiction read Brooklyn Follies.

Enjoy the vacation!

I've been thinking about re-reading Skinny Legs and All by Tom Robbins again. That's a great one...but you may have read it.

You've probably also read A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole.

Whatever you do, don't read Shadowmancer. Whatever you do.
